The Korea University of Technology and Education (KUT) is a four-year, education-oriented university established in 1992 that is wholly funded by the government (Ministry of Labor Affairs) under the educational philosophy of "seeking truth from facts". KUT has been solidifying its status as the "newly-emerging prestige school" despite its short history of 16 years, through introducing curricula and supports differentiated from other schools by creating the "KUT technology education model", a specialized engineering educational model aimed at fostering engineering talents armed with the capacity to handle jobs at work sites
Most of all, KUT is well known for providing an elite course to turn out engineering experts most favored by business enterprises. Students of KUT sweep prizes at various contents and competitions, and our graduates enjoy the reputation of "Veteran-like freshmen" who do not need on-the-job training courses after joining the workforce. This shows that KUT's strategy of pursuing an education-oriented university has hit the mark, backed up by excellent laboratories, differentiated curricula with focus on both theory and practical business ability, and the high capability of a faculty that is rich in its business experiences. KUT, which chose to "concentrate on selected targets" rather than seeking superficial titles, is being increasingly regarded as a "model school in specialization", which runs in advance of others in the limitless competition of the 21st century. |
